Tilly Millpepper and the Wishing Stone is the first book in the Tilly Millpepper series.

The story begins on Tilly’s 10th birthday. Tilly’s Uncle Leonardo, an adventurer, has given her a very special gift. A smooth, flat, yellow stone, with a painting of a red flower on one side and a tiger with enormous paws, on the other. He tells her he bought it in a market in India, on the understanding that it was a wishing stone. Cautiously he adds that it will only grant Tilly three wishes.

And so begins Tilly’s tale, of family, magic and adventure. A tale in which she makes her first wish.
